Overstaying can result in fines, deportation, and entry bans of up to five years. It can also create complications for future visa applications and business travel. For companies, employee non-compliance can disrupt projects and create legal liability.

No. The 180-day window is a rolling period calculated backwards from each day. It is not fixed to calendar months or years. This rolling calculation is what makes manual monitoring so difficult.

How do I add an employee?

From the Dashboard, click the "Add Employee" button. Enter their name to get started. You can also add a job reference to help identify them within your organisation. If you prefer keyboard shortcuts, press Alt + N while you are on the Dashboard.

The compliance briefing is a summary panel that highlights your overall compliance rate, how many employees need attention, and which employees should be reviewed first. It helps managers spot risk quickly without scanning the full table.

Yes. Go to Settings > Status Thresholds to adjust when employees move between Green, Amber, and Red status. The Breach threshold (91+ days) cannot be changed because the legal maximum is 90 days.

After uploading, you will see a mapping screen where you match your spreadsheet columns to ComplyEur fields. We auto-detect common column names, but you can adjust the mapping manually. Save your mapping for future imports.

ComplyEur detects common date formats including DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD, shortened numeric dates, month-name formats, and common separator variations. For Gantt or schedule uploads, it also recognises Excel date cells and date headers that are not always on the first row.

ComplyEur uses smart defaults during import. Existing employees are updated when they match, and duplicate trips are skipped to avoid double-counting days. You no longer need to choose duplicate handling manually during the flow.

My import failed. What should I check?

Check that headers are present in row 1, dates are consistent, employee names are spelled consistently, empty rows are removed, and the validation summary is reviewed for row-level errors.

What is the Trip Forecast tool?

Trip Forecast is a "what-if" calculator that lets you check whether a proposed trip would cause compliance issues before booking. Enter an employee, proposed dates, and see instantly whether the trip is safe.
