At the limit

In Schengen today, so this day counts.

These are example dates, and days before the timeline aren't counted. This shows the usual short-stay allowance. Long-stay visas, residence permits and some other arrangements can change a person's position. A red day turning back to blue doesn't undo an overstay that already happened. General guidance, not legal advice.

What to notice

Every date counts

Arrival day, departure day, weekends and holidays all use the same 90 days.

The window moves daily

It covers the date you're checking and the 179 days before it. The total can't go over 90.

There is no reset

Not on 1 January, and not when someone leaves. Each day drops out on its own, 180 days after it happened.
